Arsenal XI vs Villa with Star Returning & Ozil on the Bench

EPLDespite having a successful transfer window, Arsenal football club seems to be in a turmoil at the moment with results not improving one bit.
Gunners were literally blown away by Borussia Dortmund side on Match Day 1 of the Champions League even when the Germans did not have key stars playing.
Nevertheless, Arsenal have to pick themselves up and bounce back in the premier league but they face another tough test.
Aston Villa who currently sit in the second palce and 4 points above Arsenal are in full confidence after beating Liverpool at Anfield.
The pressure is going to increase to a large extent if Arsenal fail to win at Villa but it is not going to be easy for sure.
As far as team news is concerned, expect defender Calum Chambers to return in place of young Bellerin who started against Dortmund.
Mesut Ozil is being misused by Wenger and certainly overused as well because he just recovered from an injury during international break and Arsene opted to play him 2 games in 4 days. Hence expect the Kaiser to be on the bench.
Here is Arsenal’s probable XI vs Villa.

  1. Victor Kay says:

Coquelin or Diaby should be given opportunity to play instead of Arteta in view of his lack of pace.

  2. DumZA says:

If Diaby is fit, he deserves a chance. Arteta is not only slow, he also gives the ball away too easily and dwells on the ball too long and is a serious liability in the crucial defensive position. I agree with you Victor on giving Diaby and Coq a chance. Villa are very mobile and the Gunners will need strong cover. Fast.

This lineup is full of very talented players hence capable of beating any side on the planet. However, is the team well prepared both mentally and physically to go out there and show what they are made of? I think its a very big NO! Infact we are likely going to finish this game with another injury as WENGER appears not to know how to set his players into the right mental and physical shape for a game. Wenger has to learn to study game approach of the opposing team in advance so as he may know how to approach the game. Or else we shall continue losing simple games with Mr. Wengers one dimension approach. The Villa game is a must win match!
