Liverpool Look to Strike Van Dijk Deal, Could Pay Over $129,000-a-week

Liverpool desperately need to sign a strong center half, particularly to replace Lovren in the starting XI, if they are to have a strong chance of winning the Premier League title this season.
The Merseysiders want to sign Virgil van Dijk from the Saints and the move could happen before the deadline ends.
According to Evening Standard, Liverpool are cautiously looking to strike a deal for the Dutch defender for whom, the Reds could pay a fee of £70million and wages worth over £100,000-a-week ($129,000-a-week).

Virgil’s current deal with Southampton will expire in 2022 and at the moment, he is earning around £65,000-a-week (Star).
If the former Celtic defender does end up moving to Anfield, then we can expect him partner Joel Matip in the central defense under the management of Klopp. The Cameroonian star has been the most consistent center back for the Reds since moving to Anfield last summer.

Van Dijk would be a fine addition, however am afraid we (Liverpool) have left a bit too late. Should have made this offer early last week and tested Southampton’s resolve then..then again with football you never know.
