Another Source Confirms: Mourinho Keen to Secure $130,000-a-week Star Signing for Man Utd

Manchester United are looking to sign a versatile midfielder this summer and if reports in the Spanish media are anything to go by then Mourinho is seriously interested in hiring the services of Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Diario Madridsta) and claimed that the former Chelsea boss has asked the Old Trafford club to sign the Croatian international. Moreover, the former Inter Milan star was told that he will get his wages doubled by joining United.
Now, another Spanish source in the form of Don Balon have confirmed that Mourinho has a great desire to lure the 23-year-star. Jose thinks that Kovacic will be the perfect signing for his midfield.

In both the reports, it is clearly mentioned that Real Madrid do not want to sell Mateo but there is a slight difference as well. Diario Madridsta claimed that Real believe that he is the perfect man to replace Modric (creative midfielder).
On the other hand, as per the provided Don Balon link, Zidane thinks that Mateo is a natural replacement for Casemiro (defensive midfielder).
Kovacic featured in 39 games (23 starts) in all competitions for the Los Blancos last season, scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists.
His current deal with the Bernabeu club will expire in 2021 and he earns (Star) £100,000-a-week ($130,000-a-week).
