There were no Manchester United stars in the starting XI of England last night. However, star playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, started and captained Armenia in the last night’s victory over Kazakhstan.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was arguably the best player on the field and scored the crucial opening goal of the game to give his side the lead in the World Cup qualification game.
The deadlock was broken in the 73rd minute of the game. Mkhitaryan received the ball on the edge of the box, went past one player and slotted the ball in the net with a sublime finish.
Two minutes later, Oezbiliz doubled the lead and secured the victory for the home side. The video of Mkhitaryan’s goal is provided below.
