Signing Close – Liverpool to Agree £57.2million Deal

Liverpool have been out of form and there is a shadow of negativity surrounding Anfield at the moment.
Results have not been fruitful and the talks of a new deal with Coutinho are a good distraction for the Reds.
The Brazilian international signed for the Merseysiders from Inter Milan when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the club. Now, Philippe is reaching his peak years and it will be fair to say that he is a world class playmaker.
Coutinho’s top perfomances have attracted a lot of interest from top clubs, especially from Barcelona. To keep Phil out of Barca’s clutches, the Reds are closing in on signing a huge new deal with him (Mirror).
This season, the 24-year-old attacker has started 13 league games for Liverpool and directly contributed in no fewer than 10 goals (5 goals and 5 assists).
As per the provided Mirror link, Coutinho will agree a new contract with the Anfield club that will make him earn around £200,000-a-week, £57.2million in the next five and a half years. Moreover, the deal will have no release clause.
Back in December 2013, the Reds signed a £200,000-a-week deal (BBC) with Luis Suarez. Seven months later, the Uruguayan striker ended up joining the Catalan giants. Liverpool fans will be hoping that it will not be a case of deja vu and Coutinho will be at Anfield in the years to come.
