01:30 Argentina – Colombia

Despite winning their group fairly easily, Argentina have yet to hit top form. Two clean sheets since their second half collapse against Paraguay in their opener gives their fans confidence that the defence isn’t the biggest issue with this side. Much like in the World Cup last year, Argentina haven’t scored as many goals as expected. Their route to winning the Copa America may still include playing Brazil and hosts Chile, so if they are to win their first piece of silverware since 1993, then they will probably have to do it the hard way.
Colombia had Brazil’s victory over Venezuela to thank for their progress to the knockout stages after failing to score in their defeat to Venezuela and draw against Peru, leaving them on the brink of elimination. Third place in Group C has been disappointing and the team’s punishment is now a match against the Copa America favourites Argentina. Jose Pekerman’s men will point to their dominant and impressive 1-0 victory over Brazil as evidence that they can raise their game for this one, but without some key men it could prove too tough. Colombia haven’t conceded since their first group game, yet they have only scored one goal all tournament.
I’m backing Argentina’s stars such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero to take advantage of a weakened Colombia side and win this one.
