€25m Van Gaal Favorite keen on Manchester United Switch

Manchester United must improve their defense if they are to challenge for the top 4 or the title next season.
Louis van Gaal will perhaps join his toughest job after the World Cup and without top quality new signings, it might become even harder.
Red Devils had a fragile defense last season mainly because the legendary duo of Vidic and Ferdinand were largely inconsistent.
Now that both have departed Old Trafford, United need to sign quality replacements to amplifiy the quality of the squad.
Evans and Jones are there and it looks as if United are ready to sign Thomas Vermaelen from Arsenal. The gunner captain mostly warmed the bench last season.
One of Louis van Gaal’s favorite player is Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund and as per Mirror, the German international will cost around €25m.
The good news for Manchester United is that not only Van Gaal is keen on signing Hummels but the player himself wants to join Manchester United as well. However, that might not be the case in the upcoming transfer window. Hummels claimed:

“Maybe it will be some day, but I don’t expect it to be like that this summer.”

Hummels is arguably one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment and currently shining for the national side as he put in a solid defensive performance against Portugal and also netted a goal.
If he wishes to join Old Trafford side then Van Gaal and United must come with an attractive offer to lure him this summer.
