Chelsea's $18m Star in Turmoil – Liverpool Move on

Salah ChelseaJose Mourinho has got one of the best attacking midfield lineups in the world with world class talent all round for every position.
Such has been the depth in the department that Chelsea manager could afford to sell star player Juan Mata and young sensation Kevin De Bruyne.
Yet, Blues have the likes of Hazard, Oscar and Willian currently flying high with equally talented Schurrle and new winter signing Mohamed Salah at disposal as well.
The Egyptian winger Salah scored twice in the Champions league against Blues this season and was man of the match in both games.
Mourinho was impressed and fought Liverpool to lure the talented star to Stamford Bridge for a fee of $18m.
However, the former Basel star is surely in turmoil since joining the London club in January.
Over a month gone and Salah is still looking for his first ever start for Chelsea. He has only featured in 2 premier league games as a substitute and has played only 15 minutes.
Moreover, he was again a substitute in the FA cup defeat received at the hands of City in which he played 45 minutes.
The talent is inevitable but he was well aware of the situation at Chelsea and Mourinho cannot be blamed for not picking him either.
Playmakers like Lucas Piazon and Thorgan Hazard who are shining at the moment will come back from loan and if Mourinho decides to keep any of them, it will further increase the competition for Salah.
Liverpool’s attacking midfield is superb as well and they are moving on dismantling opponents lately but they do not have any attacking midfield depth like Chelsea. Clearly, by now Salah could have easily got more minutes if he was at Liverpool.
Reds wasted alot of time and that made Salah become a blue but so far it seems that he made the wrong decision.

Chelsea just bought him so they can sell him and make money or throw him in as part of a deal to buy an expensive player for cheaper. Salah didn’t have the brains to realize that’s all he’d be to Chelsea.

‘Chelsea just bought him so they can sell him and make money or throw him in as part of a deal to buy an expensive player for cheaper.’
This assertion makes no sense at all. They bought him to replace Mata and while he’s hardly playing his resale value is of course decreasing, not increasing. If his value does increase it’s probably because he’s playing and improving, in which case Chelsea won’t want to sell. I agree he made a bad decision, he was never going to be a starter for Chelsea, but the notion that Chelsea authored a scenario of buying him to put him on the bench with a view to selling him on for more doesnt need rebuttal, it’s self refuting. And the idea that his lack of ‘brains’ prevented him anticipating this scheme of Chelsea’s is arbitrary by association. The fact 72 out of 76 people ‘liked’ what you said is quite an indictment.

  2. Sir Cecil says:

Don’t you have enough Chelsea players? Johnson not satisfactory? Surely you’re happy with Sturridge. You’ve already begged Moses on loan this season. Then you held out the begging bowl to try to get Bertrand. They wanted to get a couple of others too. Now you’re bemoaning the fact you haven’t got Salah. Have some pride. Write about your own players.
Mourinho has already said publicly that Salah is going to have to wait until next season for his breakthrough. You know, there was a time in the 60s and 70s when any new signing at Liverpool would go straight into the reserves and complete months and months of an “apprenticeship” in the reserves before moving up to the first team. I doubt those players were “in turmoil” because of it. The days of Shankly and Co. Of course, those were the successful days of Liverpool, so it’s no surprise it’s forgotten by the likes of you. Always remember, your team has won no more Premiership titles than Crystal Palace or Milton Keynes Dons. Why on earth would Salah have wanted to join a team of that level?

    • mcdays says:

cecil, u talkn as if the premiership is nt a league tittle, liverpool have won it 18 times, chelsea 4 times, a team founded in 1905? oh what a shame. i can say with pride that liverpool is the most successful english club in europe, can u say the same 4 chelsea? when was the last time u won @ anfield? oh u were beatn 4-1 recently @ our field, that same year liverpool beat chelsea twice @ their own backyard in a week, its rili borin arguing wid a chelsea fan cos u guys doesnt deserve it, i wil rather argue wid an aston villa fan since they av achieve more than u. go n check ur facts.

    • Chris the kop says:

    • ian says:

How is FLOPESS going……. Oh sorry i mean TORRESS…….

  3. Geoff says:

Lady Cecil, clearly you don’t realise you bought really well from us too? Torres, benayoun and meireles. We’re excellent on top of their game at Liverpool and now look at them…

  4. Daz says:

Sir Cecil y don’t you shut ur trap banging on bout Liverpool at least were a club with history and not just bought the title so concentrate on your crappy club and leave real hardcore fans alone none of you lot were jumping on chelski bandwagon when you were garbage with no money so y all the noise now!??!!??

    • Sir Cecil says:

Yes, a rich history. Like the Greeks.
Go to the Acropolis in Athens and wonder at their past glories. Of course, it’s a crumbling edifice now, but if your imagination is strong enough, just standing there and feel what it must have felt like to be there in the glory years. Try the same thing at Anfield when you are next there, and pretend you are re-living imaginary Premiership titles.

      • nrajyv says:

what r you just talkin about lady cecil? typical plastic fans…where were you before abramovich took your shitty club? remember you were always getting thrashed by LFC…and also remember we have been champions, champions of Europe, without having that type of money you have…now just think if we had that money!! so you better think before u talk mate…cheers

  5. Kejas says:

salah was blown away by chelsea bid 4 him. Hw sily when u are clearly going to b a super substitute..no one cn tel me he is hapy. I quote bendtner’ a player who is hapy warming d bench beter quit futbol and find something else doing’ salah beta beg 4 liverpool

    • Sir Cecil says:

Anfield is like the old Ritz Cinema near where I used to live. It used to show great movies, with wonderful stars and loads of Oscar-winners.
Today it’s been converted into a ramshackle Bingo Hall, where old timers talk about the good old days and hope to get lucky before they kick the bucket.
Sad. Not one Premiership title in their lifetimes. Very sad.

      • johnny says:

by your theory you only have 3 premier league titles and 1 league title for a total of 4 league titles. you also have 0 european cups and 1 champions league cup, 1 europa cups, 2 cupwinners cups. Your club honors ain’t much better that Nottingham Forest, or Aston Villa. And ya probably only 15 years old and just a plastic chelski fan. cause all real chelsea fans are just happy the russian bought you a couple of trophys, for your little trophy cabinet.

      • roythered says:

Shame Chelsea have no history, just a sugar daddy laundering his money, don’t forget, one day he won’t be there, neither will be the miserable moaning Mourinho and his dirty tricks.

      • James says:

Actually… We are doing extremely well considering we play the best football in the league. You guys have spent big money and aren’t really even in first place.( city have two games in hand) we have players like suso, sterling, Ibe, etc coming up so you can hardly say we do not have a future… Lots of people are even saying we could win a title, I don’t think we can or that we should aim to but that totally goes against what you said when you mentioned we “had no present or future ” .
I enjoy debating football but be a little realistic and man up to the fact that Liverpool are back…

  6. bright says:

I dont know why people makes noise abt players, salah before he signs knows he cannot just walk into chelsea starting eleven he needs time to adjust to the system, his time will come and he will play. Since moses joined liverpool hw many matches has he played.is he not good enough so you liverpool fan stop making noise abt salah cos you have moses and he is not playing.

  7. Eighties Skoola says:

Hey Cecilia, amazing how you can ‘use’ history to your own small minded advantage….genuinely we have a history that is referenced by all supporters not just Reds. 41 trophies won over time is why one refers to history…Chelsea finally won a league title after all the money, and boy was it a ton of money was thrown at it to make sure it won something….your history is limited to the Abramovich era…outside of it there is nothing to show…hence in time when people refer to Chelsea’s history it will be limited to Abramovich’s millions and that period only – of which you won 3 titles ? (over a 7 year period?) History? Laughable really….your history doesn’t even cover a single decade forget the four decades (of History) that we have!

    • Sir Cecil says:

Strange. I recall the team of Vialli, with Zola, di Matteo, Wise, Petrescu etc etc winning the FA Cup, the European Cup Winners Cup and playing in the Champions League, all well before Abramovich took over.
I recall, again before Abramovich, winning the last game of the season and qualifying for the Champions League at Liverpool’s expense. I even recall winning the league title decades before Abramovich, plus more FA Cups and League Cups and another European Cup Winners Cup during the reign of Osgood, Harris, Hudson, Webb and Cooke.
Fact is, Chelsea has won the Premier League three times while Liverpool has won it zero times in the history of the competition.
Chelsea has not only won the FA Cup more recently than Liverpool, they also beat Liverpool to win it the last time.
Chelsea has also won the Champions League more recently than Liverpool.
Chelsea has also won the Europa League a lot more recently than Liverpool (!). Chelsea even happens to have won the Charity Shield more recently than Liverpool. And of course, Chelsea has won a Premier League Chelsea v Liverpool game more recently than Liverpool.
So yes, I agree with you, Liverpool has plenty of history. That’s all it has. No present. No future. Just talk. About the past. And even that past was bought with money from the pools. No wonder they call it LiverPOOL. If not for the pools and Littlewoods they’d have had nothing. Hypocrites all.

      • PMLFC says:

Sir Cecil, what do you mean by “more recently”?
According to your theory, if Tottenham win Europa League this year, you would have to agree that Tottenham is a better team than Chelsea as they would have won it “more recently”.

      • Eggy Fart says:

Champions league? Know that trophy you’ve got? … Well we’ve got four of em at home comrade and a real one. You haven’t got a clue kid. Keep talking sh!te cos you’re cackin urself at what’s happening at Anfield. Lets see how quick your lips are flappin on your way home from our house next month eh? Sh!tty little toy club from Fulham.

      • nrajyv says:

if tomorrow Barclays decide to stop sponsoring the premier league and say XXX takes over, does it mean that all clubs will have their tally of winning the premier league return to zero?? I don’t think so mate…and wigan won the league cup last year (after Chelsea), does it mean that wigan is a better club??

  8. BluesB says:

Hey Cecilia, amazing how you can ‘use’ history to your own small minded advantage….genuinely we have a history that is referenced by all supporters not just Reds. 41 trophies won over time is why one refers to history…Chelsea finally won a league title after all the money, and boy was it a ton of money was thrown at it to make sure it won something….your history is limited to the Abramovich era…outside of it there is nothing to show…hence in time when people refer to Chelsea’s history it will be limited to Abramovich’s millions and that period only – of which you won 3 titles ? How Happy was lukaku after his move to Chelsea!!! All that talk about playing for CL teams only!!! Look how well that is working for him. Salah will not be any different.

  10. Kejas says:

chelshit do not know man management’- glen johnson. Thats d simple truth. Up reds

  11. henry says:

you liverpool fans are talking of money, that Abrahamovic is bying us trophy…let me ask you, those times liverpool were winning trophys are the players playing for free, or are they buying them for free….see you will not go to champions league again this season, everton will even finish above you, you are leaving on past glories, its realy a shame!!!…you people were there when man u, are winning their 20th EPL, u are here dwelling on past glory…..Chrlsea 4 ever, long live Chelsea !

    • Eggy Fart says:

No . What’s ‘a shame’ is the fact that you make absolutely zero sense! How can you buy a player for free? Mind you, par for the course with you shower.

    • AllMightyRed says:

For starters moron, learn to spell because it’s effort trying to piece together the drivel your talking. However, what you said also brings up another rich history we have & that’s one of training & promoting youth players. We did it far more ‘when we were winning trophies’ as you put it but we’ve always won trophies even through this, so called, unsuccessful time. It’s quite funny really because we only have the premier league because Barclays decided to sponsor it all those years ago! If HSBC took over the sponsorship tomorrow would we all go back to 0 cups?!? Think some fans need a reality check… or a dose of real success, either way you’ll understand a little bit better afterwards!! I for one couldn’t care less about Salah… look at the callibre of player we are now being linked with & look at Salah!! Chelsea are more than welcome to him @;0)

Asking Chelsea fans for an opinion is like putting wanker fuel into a prick engine.
Fake plastic fans, fake plastic flags, fake plastic fags.
Chelsea rent boys that’s what you are.

  13. Paolo says:

    Cecil,
Just so you know..History defines who you are, how much class you have and your legacy! Chelsea are the equivalent of Jordan or Justin Bieber; successful? Yes!..But ultimately will be remembered in the footnotes of history, whereas Liverpool and tho’ it pains me, United, are The Beatles and the Stones in comparison! Anyway, thanks for entertaining me with your idiotic trolling while unable to sleep, suffering from man-flu! (It really is worse than child-birth!)

  14. benny says:

Just goes to show how thick this cecil is! Are you a teenager? You should never forget your history or where you are from.

  15. Filo says:

i wish Liverpool Sgns Lucas Paizon from Chelsea, This Guy will grow up to be like Kaka…I hope we sign him in the summer or one day

  16. bheki says:

I guess u Chelsea fans are jelouse of what we have done in a decade but the truth we are the only English team with history we got more titles than u we got more champions legue trophies than u so shurt your big mouth up cause u wont even win the league this season hahaaaaaaa

  17. Kelvin says:

Talk of title holders, Manchester United are the only club in England that can standout with Liverpoolfc. The rest are just NOISE MAKERS. As for Sarah,i can only wish him the best, but!!!! Liverpoolfc will always bring out the best in every player.

  18. Athan says:

Mourinho bought Salah just to frustrate Liverpool from being top contender of the EPL. Sadly Salah could not read the hand writing on the wall. I hope he realize this quickly and look for a way to liberate himself from the shackles of mourinho.
