Abramovich trusts Mourinho to the fullest and once again, the Blues have splashed cash in January to further reinforce squad.
Majority of the fans are upset that Juan Mata, Chelsea’s best player of the past two years departed to Manchester United but even the outcry has died down because not many question Mourinho.
Signing of Salah, Matic and Zouma surely improves the squad a lot but the Chelsea manager is perhaps making one massive mistake i.e. Not signing a prolific striker this winter.
Atletico Madrid’s star striker Diego Costa is heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but that only next summer whereas Chelsea badly need a regular goalscorer upfront now.
Perhaps Mourinho has too much faith in either Eto’o, Torres or Ba but the fact is they all have been largely inconsistent.
The mentioned forwards come nowhere near the quality of world class strikers in the premier league such as the likes of Luis Suarez & Aguero etc.
Not signing a top class striker may as well be the main reason if Chelsea fail to win the title this season.
Next up, Blues have to face the toughest test of the season against Manchester City that too at the Etihad stadium where the sky blues have perfect record.
If Chelsea lose, not only the chances of winning premier league will decrease but that may as well give Liverpool a serious chance to over take.
Not having a world class regular goal scorer is the main reason why Blues have not won the league title since 2010.

Diego costa couldn’t have made the move to the Stamford bridge,firstly,athletico Madrid are a strong contender both in laliga and in the champions league,if he decided to move to Chelsea then,he wouldn’t be playing for Chelsea in the champions league.On radamel falcao,he just signed for Monaco and there is no chance Monaco could sell him to chelsea,which left mourinho with no choice as Manchester united are bent on not selling Rooney to chelsea.The other prolific striker in Europe would not want to move as their clubs are still in champions league.So mourinho couldn’t have done any magic in that situation. Up Chelsea !
Its so true and even Mourinho himself knows we desperately and urgently need a top class finisher but is not really the fault of Jose that we can’t buy such striker in January. We made that sort of panic buying before and that led to the 50M flop we now have as Torres. So if we’ll have to wait for summer to land the kind of striker we truly crave then so be it. Seriously, as a true chelsea fan I share your opinion but we need not rush into any panic buying again. CHELSEA all the way….
