Wenger: ‘Team must Unite around Strong themes like Solidarity’

2014 FIFA World CupArsenal manager Arsene Wenger must be delighted with his team’s position in the Barclays premier league being at the top.
However, at the same time the Frenchman is also concerned about his nation’s chances of qualifying for FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
France suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Ukraine in the first play-off game losing 2-0 on the night and it will be hard for Les Bleus to turn the tie around.
Wenger is confident that France can qualify for the biggest event against all odds and he claimed:

“The team must unite around strong themes like solidarity. They shouldn’t rush.”
“They’ll need to be consistent in their efforts but also patient and intelligent.”
“The magic of team sport is in three or four days a position of strength can be reversed.”

France tried hard to unlock Ukraine’s defense but the home side were resilient and deserved their victory.
Wenger is right that Les Bleus have to be consistent, patient and intelligent as chances will come their way and they must take it.
Also, France cannot really afford to concede an away goal, as in that case they will need to score four to qualify and if Ukraine’s defense is even half as good as they were in the first leg then French may as well forget about qualifying.
In your Opinion, can France turn the tie around and qualify for World Cup yet again?

The way Ukraine defended, it’s difficult to see France scoring 3 against them without reply. But again, Ukraine will be missing some key players at the back. So you never know.
