Belgian star wants clarity regarding the Chelsea situation

Eden Hazard ChelseaBelgium international Eden Hazard is keen to get a clear view on the situation at Chelsea before committing his future to the club. The 27-year-old was the standout player for the Blues last season as they secured the FA Cup title but they still missed out on Champions League qualification for the second time in three seasons.
In an interview covered by Sky Sports, Hazard admitted that he wants to know more about the manager’s situation at Stamford Bridge with the season having come to a close. The attacker added that he would like to see new players, who may revive the club’s titles prospects and based on this, he may consider extending his contract with the Blues.
Hazard’s future has been a topic of question over the past few summer transfer windows and each time, the Belgian has stressed that he has no desire to leave the west London giants. However, Hazard’s stance appears to have changed over the past 12 months and he is now looking towards the progress at Chelsea before deciding on his long-term future.
As things stand, Antonio Conte is still the Blues’ head coach despite speculation that he could be replaced following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League. The west London giants have made contact with a number of experienced head coaches but so far, they have yet to make an announcement over a possible replacement.
Meanwhile, Conte himself is unwilling to walk away from the final year of his Chelsea contract and there are suggestions that the Blues may have to pay a hefty compensation fee of around £9m, if they are release him before the conclusion of his deal. Chelsea only finished fifth in the Premier League last term but they ended the season on a high note by securing the FA Cup crown.
