Manchester United Agree $45million Fee to Sign Play Breaker

Manchester United have been in search of a solid defensive midfielder for quite some time and more than a few quality stars have been linked with them.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Emanuele Giulianelli) claiming that Monaco star Fabinho wants to join the Red Devils.
Now, his team-mate Tiemoue Bakayoko is in the lime light again. According to an exclusive report covered by Daily Star today, Manchester United have agreed a fee worth 35million pounds ($45million) to sign the play breaker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.
At the weekend, United officially announced that they have agreed a fee for Belgian international Romelu Lukaku, who was also wanted by Chelsea. Antonio Conte would go absolutely furious if he loses out on signing Bakayoko as well.

The 22-year-old French international was in fantastic form in Monaco’s title winning campaign.
He was also influential in the Champions League and helped the team reach the last four of the competition. Not to forget, he scored the decisive goal to knock Man City out of the tournament.
Overall, Tiemoue made 51 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last season, scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist.
Chelsea do have the likes of Kante and Matic who were brilliant last season and both can play in the defensive midfield. On the other hand, Man Utd lack a strong DM and Bakayoko can solve that dilemma for Mourinho. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.

Yes. T. Bakayoko is suitable for that position. That will give Pogba and Herrera more chances to operate in the attacking midfield.
