Arsenal desperately need another striker in their squad having absolutely no depth what so ever in that department this season.
Giroud is by no means a top striker, at best he builds up play well. Even when he has more than a few top quality attacking midfielders, he scores very few goals.
Gunners are still missing a Robin van Persie kind of top striker and according to latest reports, they are not actually linked with a player who can fill that void.
The player in discussion is Swansea’s Michu who had a fantastic last season and is capable of playing both as a central forward and supporting striker.
As per Metro, the Spanish star has opened door to Arsenal move and will cost around €18m+.
The 27 year old forward stated:
“Every player dreams about playing in big teams, clubs who play in the Champions League and fight for titles”
“I am no different.”
“I’m very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go.”
Arsenal have been monitoring him for quite some time and are interested in luring him to Emirates.
However, he is not the kind of player that Arsenal really need. Gunners need a world class finisher, someone who will not waste the many chances they create in every match.
Will Wenger be willing to splash that much cash to lure him, we shall see.
