Versatile $74,000-a-week Star Could "Sign for Liverpool"

Liverpool must strengthen their team in the upcoming winter transfer window but more importantly, they must also hold on to their key players and Emre Can is one of them.
The German international, who can operate anywhere in the midfield, help Liverpool qualify for the Champions League with impressive performances last season.
This season, he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 18 appearances in all competitions. He was part of the German team that won the Confederations Cup.

The main concern for Liverpool is that the 23-year-old versatile midfielder will be out of contract next year and he has the option to agree a pre-contract with any team in January.
At the moment, the former Bayern Munich player is earning (Express) around £55,000-a-week ($74,000-a-week) and he surely deserves a pay rise but Liverpool have not been able to to agree new terms with him as yet.
Can has confirmed (via Liverpool Echo) that he could sign a pre-contract to leave Anfield next month but he could also end up signing a new deal with the Reds.

“Yes I could (sign a pre-contract with another club next month), but tomorrow I could also sign for Liverpool. We’ll see.”

The German star has also claimed that money is not the reason why he has not agreed a new deal with the Merseysiders so far. Not to forget, Guinean midfielder Naby Keita is set to arrive at Anfield next summer.
