Tottenham Agree Terms to Sign Jeremy Toljan

Tottenham sold Kyle Walker for a huge fee to Manchester City in the summer transfer window and they have been looking to sign a replacement.
One versatile player heavily linked with a move to the North Londoners is German international and Hoffenheim full-back Jeremy Toljan.
We were able to get an important update from the sources close to his representatives EMG Mundial in Hamburg.
It has been confirmed that Tottenham have agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old defender, however, they are not prepared to meet the asking price of the player, whose contract will expire in less than 12 months.

Jeremy is naturally a left back but in the last campaign, the German Bundesliga side mainly utilized him in the right wing-back position. He featured in 20 league games, scored one goal and provided one assist.
Last month, ES reported that Toljan is available for just 3.1 million pounds. More recently, Sky have reported that Hoffenheim are demanding a fee of 13 million pounds ($17million) for the Kaiser.
Spurs got a mammoth sum from the sale of Walker and it is baffling if they are not prepared to pay just 13 million pounds for Jeremy.
Things might change now that Kieran Trippier is injured. The full-back limped off the field in the first half against Juventus yesterday and he left Wembley on crutches (Sky). In your opinion, should Spurs splash the cash to sign Jeremy Toljan?
