Versatile $52,000-a-week Star Wants to be at Arsenal

Arsenal have more than a few quality midfielders in the squad and they are prepared to offload one in the form of Mohamed Elneny.
According to reports (via Mirror), the Foxes had agreed a fee worth 10 million pounds with the Gunners to sign the Egyptian international but the player has himself opted against the move because he wants to to be at Arsenal and fight for his place.
After the win against Chelsea in the Community Shield, the former Basel midfielder claimed:

“I am staying at Arsenal this season,”
“I am 100 per cent focused and will give my best to the club day after day.”

Elneny is a versatile talent, who can effectively play in the central/defensive midfield and can also operate in the attacking third if needed. His current deal with the North Londoners will expire in 2020 and he is earning (Star) around 40,000 pounds a week ($52,000-a-week).
The 25-year-old star played 24 games in the last campaign for Arsenal but it must be noted that he only started 12 times.
In such a scenario, it is baffling that he actually wants to stay with the Gunners. In the presence of midfielders like Ramsey, Coquelin and Xhaka, Elneny may still warm the bench even next season.
Therefore, he must consider joining Leicester City because a move to the Foxes could get him regular first team football.
