Midfielder Ready to Agree $51.5million Deal with Arsenal

Wenger Arsene Arsenal FCArsenal won their opening game of the season vs Leicester but after that, they suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Stoke City away from home.
The North Londoners are still looking to strengthen their squad but more importantly, they want star players to stay at the club as well.
Recently, we covered a report (via Mirror), claiming that Arsenal are prepared to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea after the midfielder turned down a new contract.

Today, Daily Star have come up with an exclusive report that the 24-year-old England international is still interested in staying with the Gunners but he is only ready to agree a four year deal worth 40 million pounds ($51.5million).
The British source have also claimed that star playmaker Alexis Sanchez has also snubbed a contract offer from the Gunners and wants a mammoth fee of $20.8million-a-year to stay.
Sanchez was Arsenal’s best player last season but does he deserve to earn the above mentioned wages?
On the other hand, Arsenal already have more than a few quality midfielders in the squad and Alex has only broken into first team this season. In your opinion, should the Gunners sell him?

All what is being said by the media is not true, Wenger and his players have a very good relationship of which none of the players will do things without negotiating with Wenger in a respected manner, remember some were saying Alex Sanchez is in France to negotiate a mover but all were in vain, it is up to Wenger and his players, if Ox was on the list of leaving Arsenal, Wenger would have stopped using him already.

I think you’re a bit of an optimist mate.

Yeah English press are full of sometimes useless articles aimed at tarnishing Wenger’s reputation. Look for example how many players have been offered to Arsenal. Arsenal have become a victim of circumstances really even when arsenal wants to hold onto their best players despite their worrying contract situations each of them takes these so people look at them as too serious. I pity English press. That’s why England will take so many years without winning the World Cup again

I would like to see 4-2-3-1 this formation to our team and bring new faces like Seri and Mahrez to compromise this formation. Moreover those players who don’t want to renew contract just sell them. We fedup

  5. Goonereris says:

Indeed! Why is there not the same attention to the players who come to the end of their contracts at other clubs, say, Manchester United, who have 10 players in their last season? Blind, Mata, Fellaini, Carrick, Young, Herrera, Peirerra, Shaw, are on that list.

Arsenal fans should not expect any new addition to the squad.
Wenger is done with it. It is the same tactic he employs every
year. Few days to the close of each transfer market you read
about Wenger lining up money for acquisition of a player. He is now
lining up £70m for the acquisition of a Real Madrid starlet!
If Arsenal must do well Wenger should appreciate why the invincibles
were successful & compare current players (position for position) with
the members of the invincible team. He should refrain from acquiring
    players who lack pace!
