$78,000-a-week Star Sees himself at Manchester United

Manchester United have only signed one defender in the form of center half Victor Lindelof to strengthen their back line this summer.
Under the management of Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils have got a solid back line but they could not perform well in the attacking third in the last campaign.
As far as the left back situation is concerned, the likes of Darmian, Blind, Rojo and Shaw can play in the position and therefore, the Old Trafford club do not really need to sign a new LB.

Last night, Italian international Darmian started as the left back against Real Madrid and after the contest the former Torino star confirmed that he sees himself at Manchester United and is happy with the fact that the club do not want to sell him in the summer transfer window (via Express).
He stated:

“I’m pleased that Manchester United consider me to be off the market, just as I’m pleased by the interest of Italian clubs.”
“I see myself at Manchester United, I’m happy here.”

The Azzurri star joined the Red Devils when Louis van Gaal was in charge. In the last campaign, he featured in 18 league games under Mourinho.
Darmian’s current deal with United will expire in 2019 and he is earning around $78,000-a-week (Daily Star).
