"Powerful" $51million Star Ready to Agree Liverpool Move

Liverpool have to improve the quality and depth of almost every key department in the summer transfer window to have a strong chance of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
As far as the attack is concerned, the Merseysiders have looked a completely different side in the absence of star playmaker Sadio Mane. Jurgen Klopp needs a playmaker, who has pace and trickery to trouble the defense and a few names are in the focus.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Telegraph) claiming that Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is willing to join the Reds this summer to work under the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
The five time European Champions are also eyeing the singature of Egyptian international and Roma star Mohamed Salah (via Goal). Moreover, Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio is in the spotlight as well.
According to reports (Diario Gol), the 21-year-old Spaniard has offers on the table from Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus.
In the presence of superstars like Bale and Ronaldo, any playmaker in the world would have to sit on the bench and Asensio has gone through the same dilemma. The £40million rated (Star) ($51million) attacker has only started 10 league games this season and wants that to change in the next campaign.
As per the provided Diario Gol link, Marco has told the Los Blancos that he is ready to join one of the mentioned clubs if they do not guarantee him first team football next season.
Emilio, Real’s director for institutional relations, rates the playmaker very highly and last month, he claimed (Sport):

“Marco Asensio is in his natural evolution, he is a boy who understands the game very well, technically gifted, fast and powerful”

Overall, in 18 starts (all competitions) he has netted 9 goals and provided four assists for the reigning European Champions.
Capable of playing anywhere in the attacking third, Marco would be a top capture for Liverpool and Klopp must do whatever possible to secure his signature.

  1. RED PHIL says:

We’ll get van Dijk IF we get CL footie but as we have a death wish at the moment, judging by losing so many games to lesser teams and with West Ham tomorrow, I personally wouldn’t be surprised if we draw at West Ham and Arsenal win their last few games to pip us. Then, van Dijk could sign for them as they would be in the CL and we’ve be in the Europa. Isn’t life crap? Can we have any optimism going into the Hammers game? With no on-field leaders – such as Gerrard or Souness – I’d have to say we are likely to fail tomorrow because bottling-it is a strong point for us. Hope I’m wrong . . .
