Talks Already Held – Jose Wants Manchester United to Sign $67million Brazilian

Manchester United goalie David De Gea may finally leave the club in the summer transfer window if reports are anything to go by.
Mourinho is prepared for his departure and is targeting top quality stars to replace him. The Spanish star has been United’s best player for a long time and it will be intriguing to see who will replace him at Old Trafford.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Daily Star) claiming that the Red Devils are ready to sign Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid. Moreover, reports going on in the Portuguese media, United are once again linked with Benfica star Ederson.
Earlier in the month, renowned Portuguese source, O Jogo, claimed that United are in conversations with the Primeira Liga side to hire the services of the Brazilian goalie.
Now, as per Correio da Manha (via SW), Mourinho is prepared to sell De Gea for a fee of 85 million euros and then splash over 35 million euros to sign Ederson.
The 23-year-old goal keeper played a pivotal role in helping Benfica retain their Primeira Liga title. In 27 league appearances, he has helped the club keep no fewer than 18 clean sheets. Moreover, he only conceded 12 league goals.
Ederson’s current contract with the Portuguese giants will expire in 2023 and as per the provided O Jogo link, it has a mammoth release clause of 60 million euros ($67million).
In your opinion, is the South American star good enough to replace David De Gea?
