Agreement in Place – How Liverpool will Line up with "Quality" €59million Star

Liverpool have so far conceded 42 goals in 35 league games this season and with that bad a defense, they can never win the Premier League title.
Klopp must sort out the back line this summer and reports have suggested that Southamton star Virgil van Dijk has verbally agreed to sign (via Read Liverpool) for the Reds, if they can earn Champions League qualification.
Few days back, Liverpool legend John Barnes heavily praised the £50m rated (€59million) Dutch international and claimed (Express via Liverpool Echo):

“I’ve seen enough of him from when he was at Celtic to know that Van Dijk is a very talented defender. It would be great. He’s a quality player,”

The 25-year-old central defender was rock solid for the Saints and commanded the back line brilliantly before getting injured in January. If the former Celtic star does end up moving to Anfield, we expect him to replace Dejan Lovren in the starting XI.
The Croatian star has recently signed a new contract with the Merseysiders even after inconsistent performances.
As per Squawka Matrix comparison, it is quite evident that Matip has been far better than the former Saints star in key defensive areas this season. Moreover, Van Dijk has been better than Matip in certain areas well. Therefore, Virgil should partner Joel Matip in the central defense if he joins the Reds.
