Daniel Levy Set to Agree $33million Key Deal for Tottenham

Tottenham and Manchester United had the best defensive record in the Premier League last season. This time around, the North Londoners have been better than the rest and have only conceded 22 goals in 33 league games so far.
The hearts of the supporters can beat normally when the team does have a very strong defense. Liverpool fans would know the pain.
Under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs have been rock solid at the back and a lot of credit for that goes to Toby Alderweireld, who has arguably been his best defender in the past two seasons.
Daniel Levy is working to secure a new deal with the Belgian international and according to Daily Mail, Tottenham are set to agree a fresh contract that will make him earn £100,000-a-week, £26million ($33million) in five years.
The 28-year-old center half’s current contract with the White Hart Lane club will expire in 2020 but he deserves a new deal for his fantastic performances.
The former Atletico Madrid defender has so far featured in 25 league games for Tottenham this season and helped the team keep no fewer than 14 clean sheets. Overall, he has featured in 34 games in the current campaign and scored one goal as well.
Earlier in the season, Spurs agreed new deals with star players like Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane. It will be fair to say that Alderweireld is as important member of the team as the mentioned duo.
