Talks Already Started – Klopp Ready to Get $62.5million Star Signing Done for Liverpool

Even after signing the likes of Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Loris Karius last summer, the Reds have been shaky at the back all season long.
In 32 Premier League games, Liverpool have already conceded 40 goals this season and they must improve the back line this summer to have any chance of winning the title next season.
Once again, Southampton star Virgil van Dijk is in the focus. The Dutch international has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield for quite some time and last month, we covered a report (via Football Whispers) claiming that Liverpool have started talks to sign him in the summer.
Now, multiple sources claim that Liverpool are very serious about securing his signature. Daily Mail report that Klopp wants to bolster his defense and the Merseysiders have joined the race to sign the Netherlands star, who has been rock solid for the Saints.
Moreover, The Times have reported that £50million-rated ($62.5million) Van Dijk is Liverpool’s priority man this summer and Klopp is ready to get his signing done.
The 25-year-old center half is currently out injured. This season, in 30 games, he has netted four goals for Southampton.
Liverpool have played three games against the Saints in the current campaign and failed to score even a single goal. On two occasions, Virgil was present to stop the Reds’ brilliant attacking line. Not to forget, Liverpool will collide against the Saints at Anfield next month.
Can Virgil van Dijk finally solve Liverpool’s defensive problems?

please bring him in…we can sell sakho for 30mill..recoup that money and ad the 20 mill to complete the deal..we need to do this asap as we tend to always lose out to rivals..klopp should give him he’s vision and make him forget about being a bit part player elsewhere

€50M is a lot of money to spend on Virgil van Dijk ? I could understand it if this guy had everything required
For a Top Defender who’s going to cost Top €€ But in my own personal View he’s had a great Season but
Lacks 1 key Thing that can’t be Taught and that’s PACE !!! We aren’t exactly quick at the Back even the Full backs
LB & RB aren’t what you call quick even though Milner won’t be playing at LB Next Season So surely any New
Recruits at the Back Need to have Pace as today’s Strikers Sure have and without Pace at the back
The Defence have to Drop Deeper. So we all expect Klopp to hit the Transfer Market Hard come the Summer with
The Expected £150 – £175M Fund that FSG will provide plus the Money from the Sale of Players which again I expect Klopp to Sell quite a few such as Sakho, Sturridge, Lucas, Moreno to name just a few.
I also had thought That Klopp would Sell one of either Mignolet or Karius and surely Karius would be the one to remain as I think he has a Bright future and he had an unfortunate start to the Premiership with a Broken Hand and Mignolet has Done quite well but I think Klopp may still look around for a new #1 and sell Mignolet if a decent offer
Comes in !!! So What Positions do we need Reinforcements in ? Again my personal view is Klopp needs to bring in
Maybe 6 or 7 new players in the following Positions GK and sell Mignolet, LB and sell Moreno,
CB ideal world like to see 2 New CB’s if we sell Sakho ? DM is a Must come the summer plus thinking that if Milner is replaced at LB then he could also cover DM as not sure if Can will stick around as again I see him as DM being
His best position but I’m hearing he sees himself as a CM ? We then need a LW and ideally a 2nd Winger to cover both LW or RW then that leaves us with Another Striker or 2 as I expect NO I Hope that we Sell Sturridge and then there is Ings who I think could be a great Striker a type of striker who stays in the Box for those Tap ins and finishes everything from inside the box But Since he’s arrived he’s had only Bad Luck with 2 Major Injuries in as many seasons so will he be the same player with the same pace or will these injuries Slow him down and now be Injury prone like Sturridge ??? I would really Really like Klopp to compete for Lacazetta who reminds me of Henry
And the €40M – €50M Price Tag I believe could still Be a Bargain for a Striker with outstanding Pace and an Excellent Finisher inside and outside the Box !!! Sorry for this being so long But for the first time in many many years I believe with Klopp in charge that Liverpool can become a team seriously challenging for Premierships and competing in Europe on a Regular Basis once again… So please FSG make sure you do back Jurgen Klopp well in the Transfer Market come the Summer or if you don’t believe that you will be able to continue with Funding Klopp in future Transfer Markets then please consider Selling the club or atleast allow outside interest to buy into our great club such as the continous offers from the Saudi Royals as we Need to be able to compete with the likes of the Man City’s or Chelsea’s for the Best players when they come available and will be the only way to attract World Class players is by playing on a consistent basis in Europe !!!
So In Jurgen Klopp I Believe !!! YNWA Thanks again for your patience and I hope to see the players and positions that you would like to see come to our Great Club…

I do not know why everybody is talking Virgil up. A good player but not worth the money bandied about. At that price keep Sakho.

Without respect of sayings and opinions from within or without, Sakho is a far better defender than Van Dijk. Selling Sakho and signing Van Dijk will only amount to acute myopia. I can bet with any person or group that if Sakho can be alowed to star for crystal p against us, we will loose that match by 3 goals to nil. Thank Goodness he is not going to feature. Already events at c palace with Sakho has proven that some people lfc do not know or like good defenders. There need to be a change in attitude.

Funny comment! You certainly know little about football if you would compare sakho to Van Dyke. Sakho and his likes at Lfc are the reason why the back has been horrible the past years. Sakho can’t fit into Man city, United, Tottenham and Arsenal, then why LFC? He , Lovren , Lucas and Moreno and other dead woods and mediocres are better shipped out fast if LFC is to get its glory back.
