Liverpool Moved in to Agree $54million Signing – He's "Technically Gifted"

Jurgen Klopp DortmundLiverpool seriously want to improve the quality and depth of their team and as far as the attack is concerned, they seem keen on signing Real Madrid star Marco Asensio.
Last month, we covered a report (via Don Balon) claiming that the Reds have made economic promises to the Spanish international and want to hire his services this summer.
Now, as per the latest news going on in the media (Independent via Cadena COPE), Liverpool actually moved in with an offer of 50 million euros ($54million) to secure his signature but the Los Blancos rejected that bid.
Marco has risen to form this season under the management of Zinedine Zidane, who has preferred him over Colombian international James Rodriguez.
Overall, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has featured in 29 games in the current campaign, scored 9 goals and also provided 3 assists. His last goal came in the midweek Champions League contest against Bayern Munich.
Earlier this month, Emilio Butragueño, Madrid’s director for institutional relations, heavily praised the youngster and claimed (Sport):

“Marco Asensio is in his natural evolution, he is a boy who understands the game very well, technically gifted, fast and powerful”

In the presence of superstars like Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in the attack, Asensio has mainly started on the bench. He has been part of the squad 26 times in the league but has only started on 8 occasions.
A move away from the Bernabeu should prove fruitful for the young La Roja star, who has the potential to become a world class attacker. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the summer.
