Mourinho Pushes to Agree Man Utd Signing Before Deadline – £40million Star Priority

Victor Lindelof BenficaManchester United have sold the likes of Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin in the winter transfer window but have not signed any key player as yet.
According to The Sunday Times, manager Jose Mourinho is trying to persuade the Man Utd board to secure at least one signing before the deadline ends tomorrow.
The report says that the Red Devils inquired about signing Lindelof and Bakayoko this month, however, the approaches were rejected by Benfica and Monaco, who are leading their respective leagues at the moment.
Moreover, Ed Woodward thinks that the above mentioned players will come for cheap next summer. Mourinho has other ideas, he believes that the squad is lacking depth after selling Depay and Morgan. Adding to that, Young could be heading out of Old Trafford as well.
In such a scenario, Jose needs more reinforcements, especially when he has to achieve the target of getting back into the Champions League. Currently, United are 6th in the table.
The Times claim that strong performances from Rojo and Jones reduced the need for a CB and that is why United did not go all in for Lindelof.  They have players like Smalling, Bailly and Blind, who can play in the central defense as well. Therefore, Victor is seriously not needed for now.
The report also states that now, Mourinho’s priority would be signing a midfielder like Bakayoko. However, so far, United have failed to agree a fee for the £40million rated French international. Moreover, Monaco would not want to sell their prized asset that late in the window.
In your opinion, should United sign Bakayoko or Lindelof?
