Klopp Looks to Agree €40million Playmaker Signing For Liverpool – Rumor

Liverpool are looking at attacking options in the winter transfer window and it is not surprising at all that Dimitri Payet is in the limelight now.
When Slaven Bilic confirmed that Payet does not want to play for the Hammers anymore, Liverpool fans got excited on social media and majority claimed that they wanted him at Anfield (Liverpool Echo).
It did not take long before a report came out suggesting that Liverpool are actually weighing up a bid for the French international who is admired by manager Jurgen Klopp (Cheshire Today).
Cheshire Today are not the most reliable of sources in the media so we researched to see if other media outlets have covered the story as well. Daily Star covered the report yesterday and sites like Sports Mole and The Anfield Wrap did the same as well.
So, it will be fair to say that the report is just a mere rumor for now. Cheshire Today claim that Liverpool will have to splash around 25 million pounds to sign him.
Mirror have reported that West Ham will sell Payet this month to the highest bidder. The 29-year-old Les Bleus star has scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists in the Premier League this season and he is rated around 35 million pounds (€40million).
Dimitri is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and will surely improve Liverpool’s already brilliant attack. In your opinion, should the Merseysiders sign Payet?

Personally, wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole! A one-season wonder, just like Mahrez, OR somebody who throws his dummy out of the pram if his team loses a few games. Either way, not what we need.
He joins, we drop a few points, he starts hinting he wants OUT! Nah, sorry, not our way, not our sort of player.
Will he ever put in a shift for us, on the basis that our game is built around mobility and running? Somehow can’t see him doing that, can you? He’s more of a luxury player, only there for the finer parts of the game and all that running crap is foreign to him.

Tricky this one, a bit divided on the player. Certainly has class but will no doubt go running to the highest bidder (as in wages).
