However, for a change, United are once again linked with Portugal and Valencia star Andre Gomes.
According to reports (The Sun), Mourinho is keen on hiring the services of the former Benfica midfielder who was a key member of the Euro 2016 winning team. However, Man United face competition from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona who are also looking to secure Gomes’ signature.
Andre is mainly a center midfielder but he has proved to be effective in the attacking third as well. Last season, the 22-year-old star featured in 30 league games for the Spanish side, scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists. Overall, he scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists in 41 games for Valencia.
