Two seasons ago, Brendan Rodgers signed Spanish international Alberto Moreno from La Liga side Sevilla to reinforce Liverpool’s defense.
Since joining the club, the La Roja star has been decent for the Reds going forward, however, he has been highly inconsistent at the back.
Therefore, Jurgen Klopp must sign a new left back this summer and a certain Dutch international is in the limelight. The player in discussion is PSV Eindhoven defender Jetro Willems.
Liverpool have been tracking the 22-year-old fullback for quite some time. Back in March, Football Insider reported that the Reds have sent a delegation to monitor him.
Now, Liverpool Echo cite reports in the Dutch media and claim that Klopp is going to make an offer of 13 million pounds ($17 million) to finally seal the signing of Willems and solve the left back dilemma at Anfield.
Not to forget, the Reds have already signed a former PSV Eindhoven star in the form of Wijnaldum this summer.
As per Soccer News, a fee of 13 million euros should be enough to secure the signature of the defender who has made 20 appearances for the senior national side.
Jetro had an injury hit last campaign and he missed the first half of the season with a knee concern. In the second half, he featured in 15 league games, scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists.

Jetro is a good player. But I honestly want klopp to sign Hector. Nonetheless, Jetro is still a good deal.
I agree. Best option a left back is hector.
I do not think Hector is seriously available. If he is fine, let´s get him. Jetro is a decent alternative and a clear upgrade on what we have. Ricardo Rodriguez would be a better solution if we could tempt him without Euro football.

The only lb we should be targeting is de sciglio, younger faster cheaper also easier to aquire, defensively as accomplished as the great maldini also past the halfway line very effective in the final third with a penetrative final ball. I think the hector option would give us exactly what we have on the opposite side in clyne which is a great defender but considering attacking threat in the final third there is no serious output, de sciglio would provide the attacking penetrative play klopp sees in moreno with the defensive stability of clyne for me the best lb in the euros and 1 of 2 reasons italy got as far as they did

Jonas is good but if its available jetro can compete wth moreno in the left side and produce gud results.though what needed at liverpool is just a left back proven one and i think herderson should be sold and apoint another captain who lead by example

Hector will provide a good addition to the defensive and also good in surging forward,we also need one additional defensive midfielder
Rodriguez or De Sciglio would be a major coup. Great addition but surely will cost alot.

Willems or Cresswell is more realistic option at the moment.
