$39million Move Accepted – How Chelsea will Line up with Star

Infographic---Conte-v-Chelsea2Chelsea seem close to sealing their second key signing of the summer after agreeing a fee with Leicester City to lure N’Golo Kante.
The Sun cite reports in the French media claiming that Chelsea’s £29 million ($39 million) move (£7 million more than the release clause) for the Les Bleus midfielder has been accepted by the Foxes.
The 25-year-old star was brilliant for Leicester City last season under the management of Claudio Ranieri. He featured in 37 league games for the Foxes, scored a goal and provided 4 assists. Kante made it into the PFA Team of the Year for his top performances.
Capable of playing as a strong defensive midfielder and also as a creative central midfielder, the versatile star will largely improve Chelsea’s midfield.
Rumors suggest that the Blues might sell former Barca midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer and it will not come as any surprise if Kante replaces the Spaniard in Chelsea’s starting XI.
Here is how Chelsea will line up with N’Golo Kante.

I just hope Chelsea can clinch this rumoured deal. Will be a great signing. Fab should not leave. Still has a lot to offer creativity wise.

Kante will not replace Fabregas. Fabregas is creative , Kante is more in the Makelele mould. Strong , combative, covers the grouind. The two could easily complement each other. If Kante replaces anyone it would be Matic who was very poor last season.

I think SteveB is more on the money with Fabergas and Kante as the mid-field pairing then the proposed line-up, I also think Conte will go with two up front, Costa and Batshuayi, After the first warm up game in Austria it seems Conte is thinking along the lines of a four four two line up. We might see Costa and Batshuayi as the strikers, then Hazard, Kante Fabregas, Willian, across the middle, and then in defense Dave, (Terry’s replacement) Cahill, Ivanovic, and Courtois in goal. Given that Terry is on a one year contract, it is obvious that he will not feature as much as he has done in the past, and that his playing days are numbered. My thinking is Conte will be bringing in a central defender before the season starts as Terry’s natural replacement to bed into the team for the future.
