Liverpool defeated Man United 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie at Anfield last night.
The Reds should have scored more but United were saved by none other than their world class goalie David de Gea who made more than a few quality saves.
United now have an uphill task to turn the tie around next week at Old Trafford. One away goal for the Reds will virtually seal their qualification to the quarter finals.

Liverpool, to be honest, ran all over Utd last night. I hate the fact that Liverpool did not take further advantage of the chances they had that would quite frankly, put this tie well and truly out of reach. it was a good overall performance with a couple of notable chances not taken, however, they go into the return leg, with a two goal advantage. Thankful at least for that.
