Pre-Contract Agreed – Mourinho's Most Important Potential Signing for Man United

Jose Mourinho will be hoping that Manchester United qualify for next season’s Champions League or else he will have to manage the British giants in Europe’s second tier competition Europa League.
The Red Devils have agreed (Daily Mail) a preliminary contract with Jose Mourinho and first challenge is to bring in quality players much needed to reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window.
As far as the potential signings are concerned, the most important signing is that of a world class out and out goal scorer. No team can win the title without a top class finisher in their ranks and United currently lack one. Captain Wayne Rooney is past his best and over the last few seasons he has hardly played consistently as the lone striker upfront.

United splashed heavy cash to lure Anthony Martial last summer but even the French international has been utilized in multiple attacking positions and still needs experience.
Mourinho must sign someone who will score 20+ league goals a season, only then United can dream of winning the title again. The Red Devils have been missing such a striker since the departure of Robin van Persie.
There have been reports suggesting that Mourinho has already agreed (Tribal Football) a deal to bring Gonzalo Higuain to Old Trafford. The Argentine is a world class striker who has played under Mourinho at Real Madrid and will be a brilliant addition.
Higuain has netted 31 goals in 37 games so far for Napoli this season.
