Liverpool’s brilliant run came to a shocking end against Southampton yesterday as the Reds squandered a two goal advantage and lost 3-2 against the Saints away from home.
Defensive woes were back again with the return of Slovak star Martin Skrtel who was mainly responsible for the chaos at the back.
Fortunately, Liverpool have fixed that dilemma by agreeing (LFC) a deal to sign a quality center back in the form of Joel Matip (Schalke). The Cameroonian defender is a right sided center half and will be Skrtel’s direct replacement.
The Bundesliga star has not only been better than out of form Skrtel but he has been way better than other Liverpool center halves like Lovren and Sakho as well.

You write as if there’s no difference between the Bundesliga and the Premier league.
Am no expert, hence, not predicting anything. But let’s see how he performs in the far more physical premier league, where the attackers are far more rough to you than those in the Bundesliga, where you have even lesser time on the ball, where you have no time to stop and think.

Would have loved to see Carragher v Costa, Costa is not the type of thug that should be in the EPL, plus everyone has his number now and he can’t cope anymore, bullies always turn into crybabies, he’ll run away to the spanish league.
