Arsenal Set to Close in with $20.6m Offer to Sign Star

The first choice midfield partnership of Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin is not present at the moment for Arsenal as both players are out injured. In such a scenario, Arsenal are looking to reinforce their midfielder department in the winter transfer window.
According to reports in Italy (Calcio Mercato via Corriere dello Sport), Arsenal are ready to close on Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and have prepared a $20.6m bid to hire his services.
Metro suggest that Arsenal are actually paying more than the asking price for the Croatian international but we cannot say for sure that there is anything concrete about that claim.

The 23-year-old Croat has replaced his compatriot Mateo Kovacic at Inter Milan. Kovacic left in the summer transfer window to join Rafael Benitez’s Real Madrid side.
Capable of playing as a central and attacking, Brozovic can be a good addition at the Emirates. However, Ramsey is performing well in the central midfield and Arsenal really need to lure a defensive midfielder.
