Dutch international Memphis Depay returned to Netherlands and faced his former club PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last night.
The top quality playmaker did manage to score against his former side but PSV roared back to come from behind and earn all three points.
Memphis signed for the Red Devils in the summer transfer window and BBC reported a fee of 31 million pounds.
However, according to ex-FIFA agent Vincent Rodriguez, PSV confirmed last night that Depay was sold to the English giants for just 19 million pounds (€25.8m)
Since joining the Red Devils, the 21-year-old star has featured 8 times and has only scored 3 goals. All the goals have been scored in the Champions League, 2 against Brugge in the play-off contest and one last night against PSV.
Last season, Depay scored no fewer than 28 goals and provided 8 assists in 40 appearances for the Dutch club. Replicating such form in the Premier Leaue is not going to be easy and the player really needs to step up big time.
