Iwata have finished in the 4th position in the J League 2 in the previous season. They were close to the promotion and they are doing even better this season as they currently stand in the second position in the J League 2. Iwata have won 12 matches from 20 played, they have very solid results in scoring as they have 33 goals in total. Their attacking lineup looks dangerous, Brazilian striker Adailton (10 goals this season) leads the offense.
Meanwhile Kumamoto are in totally different situation as they are among the worst teams in the league. They have suffered ten losses already and stand just a single point in front of the relegation zone. They have only scored 15 goals in 20 matches played this season.
