Talks Ongoing – Why Chelsea will Welcome Star with Open Arms

Radamel Falcao MonacoManchester United were heavily disappointed after world class star like Radamel Falcao did not work well for them last season.
The Red Devils paid a huge loan fee and agreed to pay his hefty wages to bring the Colombian to Old Trafford last summer but the former Atletico star could never get his best form back.
In 26 league games, the striker who used to score for fun could only net 4 times. That is a horrific stat for someone who was not so long ago regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.
United did not want him and that made sense. However, Premier League champions Chelsea are very keen to sign Radamel Falcao this summer.
According to Sky, Falcao is in transfer talks to complete a move to Chelsea. Even after a dismal season, Chelsea are ready to welcome Radamel Falcao with open arms as class remains permanent.
Under the management of Louis van Gaal, majority of the times Falcao played in a system of 2 strikers that he does not prefer. Moreover, he never got regular run of games. For worst, out of the 26 league games he played in, Falcao could only complete 90 minutes in 5 of them.
His goal scoring record over the years has been phenomenal. 142 goals for Atletico and Porto in combined 177 games is a terrific return.
Chelsea fans will remember how the Blues were single-handedly ripped apart by Falcao in the European Super Cup where the Colombian scored a stunning hattrick for Atletico.
Given regular run of games, Falcao can get back to his best. He has been scoring regularly for Colombia and will lead the national side in Copa America.
If Falcao does sign for Chelsea, then former Atletico stars Costa and Falcao will fight for single striker starting spot in Mourinho’s system. Nevertheless, to have both in the squad will be a mouthwatering prospect.
