Arsenal will be bitterly disappointed as one of their main transfer targets Morgan Schneiderlin is heading towards rivals Manchester United.
The French international has been brilliant for Saints in the past two seasons and Wenger has tried to sign his compatriot.
However, as per latest reports, it seems that the 25 year old versatile midfielder will wear Man United shirt next season and is considered a long term replacement for veteran Michael Carrick.
According to Daily Star, reports in France suggest that Manchester United have won the competition beating Arsenal on the way to complete €34.8m deal for Morgan Schneiderlin.
Even Tottenham have shown interest to land the talented Southampton star as well.
Morgan has had an injury hit season this time around but he is one of the main reasons why Southampton finished the season in 7th place.
Mainly a strong holding midfielder, Schneiderlin can also be deployed as a creative midfielder as he is also renowned for his passing and ability to dominate midfield play.
In 26 league appearances this season, he has netted 4 goals and provided an assist as well.
Arsenal are not in a desperate situation as far as holding midfield is concerned thanks to Coquelin who has stepped up to play big time and was brilliant for the Gunners in the second half of the season.
However, with Flamini and Arteta past their best and Bielik still very young, there is no quality depth and Arsenal may have to look elsewhere to sign another DM.

Have won? Let’s talk when it happens. There are just too many experts and know-all people around the globe. Each contributes one nice piece of at article then it leads to thousands of spectacular news who claims they knew…even so when AFC says they have no idea, ironic right…it shows that these people at AFC are just not good enough at their job…or either that those people who knows are simply born intelligent and talented when comes to news sourcing. Thats why Wenger always used the standard phrase “nonsense’ …to make it short and sweet, we just want a good season primarily aims at the “missing cup in the cabinet- Champion League!!! That’s all it matters to us..
He’s going to be a good addition if and if only d transfer materialise.but i must say,man utd do need a DM,a versatile one at that
Hope to see him
He will be a good addition to the squard, as he is a natural no 6 like Carrick. He is young and strong to be a United player. He is most welcome to Old Traford.
I don’t believe on this rumours, I will have to wait for a confirmed statement from either club or the player himself. otherwise we need more signings.
