Home side Roda JC is passionate to make a return to the top tier the Eredivisie after only one season in the Jupiler League, however they will have to finish a tough opponent NAC Breda who have quite some quality in their squad. Breda ended the first half of the season so badly that there was not enough time to turn things around in the second so they had to play these relegation playoffs despite showing some decent football in the last matches of the season. But they came back strong beating VVV Venlo 0-1 and 3-0 in the previous round, a team that gave Roda JC some troubles in the league (1-1 and 2-1). It would be an absolute disgrace for a team of NAC Breda's popularity and stature to relegate to the second division and therefore the players are extra motivated. Plus they have one of the biggest talents of the Dutch Eredivisie this season Adnane Tighadouini.
