Manchester United won 5th consecutive premier league game by beating Aston Villa at Old Trafford 3-1.
With that victory, the Red Devils are now 8 points clear of their arch rivals Liverpool and only a major drop in form can lead to dropping out of CL positions, else they are safe.
United should not be bothered about Reds though, their main focus should now be to finish as high as possible and earn automatic CL group stage qualification.
Moreover, Louis van Gaal also has one eye on the transfers as he looks to sign top stars in summer and strengthen the squad for next season.
One such star who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford is Brazilian international and Barcelona star Daniel Alves.
According to reports, Manchester United are now all clear to sign Alves as French giants PSG who were also hoping to sign him are nor longer interested in the Catalan star.
As per the provided link, Paris Saint-Germain president claimed:
“PSG were interested in Alves for a long time. But we aren’t anymore.”
United need a right fullback and Alves is still one of the best around despite his age. Currently, Van Gaal utilizes Antonio Valencia in that position and even though he is performing well, the Ecuadorian is a make shift full back.
Man United now favorites should step up and seal the deal as soon as possible.
