Tottenham Close in on In form Centre Forward Signing

BPLAfter a consistent start, Pochettino’s Tottenham side have massively improved to be where they are in the premier league.
However, they need more improvements in the squad to achieve their main objective of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Spurs not only need quality but also need depth for the remainder of the season. One department that seriously lack quality depth is the strikeforce.
Harry Kane is in top form for the North Londoners but Soldado and Adebayor are just not good enough
In such a scenario, Tottenham are in the market for a centre forward who can partner Kane or be a decent back up in his absence.
According to latest reports, Tottenham are closing in on signing Burnley forward Danny Ings.
The 22 year old England international has been in decent form for the promoted side.
In 17 league starts, Ings has directly contributed in 8 goals, scoring 5 and setting up 3.
The stats clearly indicate that he can be the one to cover and also support Harry Kane upfront.
Other than that, Danny has played in 2 under-21 friendlies in November for the national side and scored a brace in 3-1 win over Portugal team.
As per the provided link, Tottenham are readying an opening bid to secure his signing. Fans may feel that Ings might be a gamble but perhaps one that Spurs should take.

Trully a strong striker has been an urgent gap in Spurs not having a stronger push to top 4 position in EPL.
