At the start of the season Panionios had a lot of financial trouble. Then played with only greek players and so they lost a lot of matches. Then they resolved the problems and so they signed a lot of good players like Korolev, Hancock (from NBA), Coleman and Woods. A week ago they have signed also a new big man Justin Tubbs (he played for Crailsheim in Germany and then for Halifax in Canada, he was scoring 19.5 points per game and 5 rebounds per game). Today he will play his first match with Panionios adding a lot of quality.
In last seasons Panionios always was in the top of the league and so they have to win a lot of matches to improve their season. They lost last two matches against Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, two impossible matches and now they have some easier matches like today, they have to win. Panefelefsiniakos only want to stay in the league and avoid relegation, they have already found some victories and so their motivation will be lower. At home they are 2-3, not a big record. I think Panionios will win and this is a great odd for them!
