Arsenal want $24m Power Star, Man Utd Move for Play Breaker

Arsenal FCArsenal and Manchester United require quite a bit of reinforcing to do in the winter transfer window despite splashing heavy cash in summer.
According to reports, surprisingly, the Gunners are scouting another striker, powerful Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike who plays for Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The 27 year old striker scored 15 goals in 35 appearances last season and also provided 9 assists.
As per the provided link, Gunners look to sign him in January for $24m. The same sort of sum was splashed in summer to secure Welbeck from Man United. The England international is doing well while Giroud is set to return around January as well.
Hence, there is no real need to sign another striker when they are playing in system with lone striker upfront.
Louis Van GaalOn the other hand, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is keen to add former Man City play breaker Nigel de Jong.
The Dutch international is one of Van Gaal’s favorite players and was a key player in the Netherlands squad that were impressive in the World Cup.
With De Jong’s contract expiring at the end of this season, United look to seal a cheap deal in the winter window.
United opted to sign Daley Blind in the summer transfer market and the former Ajax star currently plays the defensive midfield role.
The question remains, where will Blind play if United are somehow able to sign De Jong as he will then be preferred for DM spot.
