He has told United to make Dortmund an offer that they cannot refuse. Red Devils have been chasing the $32m rated World Cup winner all summer but the Bundesliga club were not interested in selling their newly appointed captain.
Also, Hummels was not really eager to move to United as well. Not to forget, Dortmund are playing Champions League and if they do qualify for knockout rounds, it will be really hard for United to secure his signature mid-season no matter how big a bid they make.

We should not get carried away with yesterday’s win as QPR are not in the class Chelsea ,City or Liverpool or even Everton ,Spurs and Southampton . We stil need 2 central defenders of top class pedigree and a nother holding midfielder then we can compete with the other too teams. Yesterday we made some schoolboy errors at the back and if make errors like the against the better teams we will get badly punished.
With him and Strootman or Vidal, the defensive area will be tough to be penitrated and Utd will stand again. Thank you Van Gaal and Ed Woodward, we believe in you.
