Man United Sealed Midfielder Deal but Why he Rejected Van Gaal

Toni Kroos Bayern MunichManchester United have been searching for the next Paul Scholes since the legendary midfielder retired at the end of 2012-2013 season.
They had one top quality prospect in the form of Paul Pogba but the French star was sold for peanuts by Ferguson to Juventus and now he is shining for Serie A champions.
On the other hand, it was thought that Tom Cleverley will be able to replace Scholes as early on he showed signs of top talent but now finds himself on loan with Aston Villa.
However, United were all set to secure the transfer of a German midfielder who would have been the perfect replacement for Scholes, Toni Kroos of Bayern Munich.
Reports suggest that the German star had already sealed deal with Man United under the management of Moyes and was all set to join the Old Trafford club.
The move then fell to pieces as the former Everton boss was shown the door and Kroos’s ex boss at Bayern Louis van Gaal was hired.
As per the provided link, Kroos himself pulled away from the deal as Louis van Gaal was appointed. The question remains why did he reject the move because of van Gaal?
Surely, van Gaal is more experienced and successful manager than Moyes and he was the one under whom Kroos broke into the first team of Bayern Munich after returning from loan with Leverkusen.
The one season Kroos and Van Gaal were together, Van Gaal was sacked by Bayern before the end of the season in April for average performances and Bayern finished third, 10 points behind champions Dortmund.
Instead of Kroos, United have secured Ander Herrera and only time will tell if he will be the one to replace Scholes. Without doubt, Kroos rejecting United for Madrid after agreeing to join the Devils should be considered a massive blow as United’s midfield still lacks quality.

  1. Van Gal should not make a mistake to sign for a defender forget Miranda, Pique, Hummels. Go for the best Vertonghen & Otiamadi are the best at the moment period,
