Only Fee Left – Arsenal can Lure Wonderboy for €30m

Alvaro Morata Real MadridArsenal badly need a striker next summer as that is one department where they lack top quality as well as depth.
However, it looks likely that Gunners are not moving for a proven name but Arsene Wenger wants a young star, one who will be here for years.
The player Arsenal want is Real Madrid’s young striker Alvaro Morata and as per Metro, the North London side will have to splash €30m to lure the wonder-boy from Los Blancos.
According to the provided link, Arsenal have already agreed terms with Morata to bring him to Emirates next season but Madrid want heavy sum for their rising star.
If Arsenal pay the mentioned amount, Madrid will not have any buy back option in the deal. However, Wenger obviously hoped he can sign the striker for a lower fee.
Morata has featured in 13 league games for Real Madrid this season and has netted 3 goals.
More importantly, in those 13 games, he has just played 240 minutes and has an average of scoring a goal every 80 minutes.
Adding to that, In 6 UEFA EURO qualifying games for Spain, Morata has scored no less than 8 times.
Surely the talent is there but will Wenger be willing to splash an amount of 30 million Euros to sign a 21 year old boy when for that sum, he can have many experienced strikers available in the market as well.

  1. Potential says:

    £28m for Morata ? Too expensive ..
Surely for £25m and with Puma apparently ready to pay the rest, would you not go in for a PROVEN premier league goal scorer and senior International first team player like super Mario??
Trade mark badman image aside his strength and prowess could be just what we need up front instead of playing the usual four passes too much and the move braking down, once again. A big plus is that his footballing attitude has seen great improvements!
..AND/or Diego Costa a snip at £32m (release clause) and the front line would be complete
..Morata may be good but maybe a more established player that’s actually done something already for a little while ..tried and tested if you like. Is what we need right now to lead the front line.
