Arsenal may have defeated their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup yesterday but once again they were hit by a major injury blow.
Englaind international Theo Walcott, who only returned from injury not so long ago was stretchered off the field against Spurs having a knee problem.
We are not yet aware of the duration he will be out for. However we do know that Arsene Wenger has got no more time left to waste in search of a striker.
No excuses can help Arsenal. Yes, we are on top of the league but that will soon change if Arsene does not sign a striker at the earliest in the winter transfer window.
Not only have gunners lost Walcott, they are already without three strikers namely Giroud, Bendtner and the young summer signing SaNoGo.
The only possible option for the position of striker that Wenger has at his disposal is German star Lukas Podolski who made his first start after returning from injury few days back against Cardiff but failed to shine as an out and out striker.
If Arsene is planning to use Poldi as lone striker upfront until Giroud and co recovers then surely Gunners are bound to suffer.
Even if we do have Giroud back, Arsenal strikers are not good enough as compared to the likes of Aguero, Suarez or Robin van Persie etc. They still need a prolific finisher to win the title.
Arsene Wenger must not waste any more time and must splash the cash to lure a top goalscorer this month. Case of hoping against hope but well, we are still hoping that happens.

This season Arsenal have not a good but very good chance of winning the epl.
The missing ingredient is a top striker.I remembered that in previous seasons all he had to do was get a top class player and Arsenal could have won th epl.He refuted such suggestions aying that he had x number no games in charge and who was to question his decision.Needless to say the gunner failed to win anything.
If he doesn’t want to pay top euro,there is berbatov who fulfils all requirements.
If Arsenal fail to win anything this season,then by right he shd not be given any contract extension.
