Arsenal were eagerly interested in signing Spanish star Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid but it seems that Chelsea have beaten them to lure the prolific forward.
Blues are renowned for getting the man they want as their owner always splashes the cash to meet the asking price and demands of the players while others keep negotiating.
Like Liverpool lost out on Salah, according to Metro, Arsenal have lost out on Costa as well because Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement to sign Diego Costa next summer.
The star striker has a release clause of $53m in his contract that the Blues are ready to meet as per Spanish Broadcaster La Sexta and it will be impossible for Atletico to hold onto their prized asset when Chelsea pay the mentioned price.
Costa has taken the place of Radamel Falcao with ease and is one of the deadliest strikers in world football at the moment.
Diego Costa has netted no less than 19 times in just 20 La Liga appearances this season.
Chelsea have been frustrated upfront since the departure of legendary Didier Drogba as no striker has shown any consistency whatsoever and Mourinho wants to solve the striking conundrum once and for all.
The addition of Costa will make Chelsea even more fearsome as he is an absolute nightmare for defenders, plus he is like Liverpool star Luis Suarez who never gives up.
