So Man United Want 2 Centre Backs for €77m – Just Brilliant

So Man United Want 2 Centre Backs for €77m – Just BrilliantIt is understandable that Manchester United want world class players in their squad to come to the level of Chelsea and Manchester City.
For that, David Moyes needs to strengthen in every department.
However, what they cannot afford is waste money like they did signing Fellaini as a panic buy on deadline day last summer.
According to Daily Star, the Red Devils chase €77m Porto duo Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi.
Brilliant, just brilliant. The players in discussion are center backs and United have more than a few options for that position. What they actually need is quality wingbacks not the central ones.
Then again to splash 77 million Euros on two defenders is baffling itself.
For worst, two of our quality players want to leave the club, Hernandez and Kagawa. Moreover, Moyes is planning to sell Zaha as well.
If things do not change for these fellas, expect them departing for regular playing time as they deserve it, especially Chicharito.
United’s main problem is not in defense, it is the central midfield.
David Moyes must splash the cash to sign a creative central mid player who can help us winning the midfield battle.
The likes of Fellaini, Cleverly, Anderson and Carrick are by no means World Class.
Moreover, if Kagawa and Zaha both depart then United will have to sign a world class playmaker as well. We shall see how Moyes performs in the winter transfer market.

United truly needs a creative midfielder with a twinkle foot and great flairs and two central defenders

Agree with Saint Jude there. I’ll take Chicharito over Wellbeck anytime. Who cares about movement, versatility, speed and all that. A striker needs to score. Compare their goal stats and it will be an automatic no-brainer pick anytime. Chicharito wins hands down all the time. Because strikers are judged by only one standard and only one stats matters, goals.
“The likes of Fellaini, Cleverly, Anderson and Carrick are by no means World Class.”
This is absolutely right too.Anderson is a goner. United has too much quality for Fellaini to shine. He’s a bad buy. Cleverley is a good squad player at best. And lastly, we’ve already seen the very best of Carrick. Even at his best, on overdrive, he’s still nowhere near Xavi or Iniesta on cruise mode. He does the simple things very well and that’s about it.
How about Ilkay Gundogan in the DM position with Kagawa and Rooney in the CAM positions with RVP feeding off them. We need quality wingers to compliment Adnan on the other side, like Angel di Maria. Someone young, fast and tenacious. Ashley Young is an utter waste of space and money. He should be sold ASAP or makeweight for someone else.
All these talks of Kagawa, Rafael, Evra, Fabio, Zaha and Chicharito being sold is unhealthy. Fabio is better than Buttner and anyway, the kids cost peanuts. Zaha has still not get any Premiership minutes yet. Chicharito is a great super sub. Kagawa is the most creative talent we have. Evra is our dependable captain.
When Moyes finally fixed the DM position with a single world class player, then Kagawa and Rooney con flourish in the CAM together. Having 2 players as DM is just a waste. An in-form Fletcher could be a short term fix.
    Ilkay Gundogan, enough said.
