Arsenal badly need a quality striker upfront and they have been chasing Liverpool star man Luis Suarez for quite sometime. However, Gunners are coming up with offers that are never going to be accepted as Suarez is very highly rated.
Arsenal started off bidding from 30 million pounds, then increased the bid to 35 and recently have offered 40 million pounds for the Uruguayan. The expected outcome was inevitable as Liverpool have rejected all the offers almost immediately.
Now Liverpool owner John W Henry has turned to twitter to mock Arsenal for their ridiculous offers. Whether his account is hacked or not is another matter.
Henry tweeted:
“What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates?”
Liverpool legend John Aldrigde also claimed that Arsenal should come up with serious offers, somewhat like Wilshere + 15 million pounds may make Liverpool notice. Else they have no plans of selling their best player that too for cheap.
Arsenal should stop wasting their time if they are not going to make any serious offers for Luis Suarez as that way they will also lose out on other top targets as well.
The current situation must be very irritating for the Arsenal supporters. Gonzalo Higuain moving closer to Napoli is one indication. How many more do they need to act swiftly and seriously in the transfer market.

John J Henry is thick, just because he was stupid enough to sanction the Carrol bid of £35 million pounds. Suarez is a great player,£40 million pounds is good money, Lets see if Madrid offer more. If Suarez stays at Liverpool will he be the same player?
Well if anybody had been asked at the beginning of the transfer window if suarez was worth £40m most people would probably say no. However because of the inflated prices PSG and Monaco have paid for Cavani and Falcoa £40m is seen as unrealistic. To me expected more than £40m is unrealistic and there is no way Liverpool will get £55m for Suarez.
Arsenal really don’t know how to do this, do they? They’ve not EVER paid more than 16.5M for a player and now they’re bidding 40M for a 50m+ player they’d have to pay 150k/w. They’re making a statement to their supporters but they’re not really serious. Terrified amateurs. Sixth this year.
well said Mr Henry, though when they come back with £50+ mil then we will sit up and take notice, though I for one don’t want Suarez to leave, the club cant keep backing his bite habit, as this is at least the second known bite, there is no point the fa banning him without also dealing with the cause, its like the courts taking a licence away but leaving the car in the driveway and expect the un-licensed driver not to drive.
For starters John Henry what are you smoking Suarez clearly does not want to be at Liverpool and I dont blame him they are a team in decline, 40 Million is no insult and in my opinion to much money for a player with six games suspension left to serve get real liverpool your being stupid you will end up with a player who resents you and will not get another bid near 40 million all that is clear to me is that Luis Suarez runs Liverpool football by all accounts and brendan rogers although a very good manager is to naive to see it why would you value him at 55m fet real rogers and accept the man wants out.
