Dortmund won’t Sell him, Arsenal don’t Need him

Dortmund won’t Sell him, Arsenal don’t Need himArsene Wenger is set to utilize the hefty transfer kitty to reinforce the squad for next season. It is reported that Fellaini is close to joining gunners and they are also after Germans Bender and Gundogan. However the chances of luring them especially the Dortmund star are highly unlikely.

Gundogan has been a key member of the German side that reached the final of Champions league only to lose out against the might Bayern Munich. The dilemma Klopp is facing these days, Dortmund won’t sell him. On the other hand, Arsenal do not really need him as well.

Dortmund Won’t Sell

Jurgen Klopp has done wonders with Borussia Dortmund but there is this one problem he cannot seem to fix. Despite being one of the top clubs in the continent, Dortmund lose star players to other competitors every season and that is baffling.

The German side won Bundesliga in 2011 and sold player of the year Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid. The following season, Dortmund retain their league title but again sold another star Shinji Kagawa to Manchester United.

Now, they sold perhaps Germany’s most promising youngster, Mario Goetze to rivals Bayern Munich in deal worth 32 million pounds. For worst, they are likely to lose their star striker Robert Lewandowski as well. If they keep on losing star players, then the already huge difference between Bayern and Dortmund may as well increase.

Lewandowski may depart for a sum of 30 odd million as well and that will provide Klopp enough funds to find quality replacement as well as more star signings. Hence, he will not look to sell Gundogan as well, that way Dortmund may have to start all over again with so many new players.

Arsenal Don’t Need

As far as Arsenal is concerned, they badly need a player like Fellaini. Since Viera departed, Arsenal have had no one who could break the play of the opposition as well as add to the attacking threat. Alex Song was promising but he left for Barcelona. Fellaini ticks all the boxes and will amplify gunners defense as well as offense.

On the other hand, they realy do not need a player like Gundogan. Although the 22 year old is a highly talented playmaking midfielder but Arsenal already have two of their own as well.

The player of the season Cazorla is one that cannot be replaced and will keep his place and then they have a CM in Jack Wilshere who also turns into a new monster when given the green signal to attack. Only injuries keep the England international out else he will be starting every game.

Therefore, Wenger does not really need to spend $$$ to sign Gundogan and must focus on strengthening other positions like sign a top quality striker as they badly missed one last season.

Higuain is a must. Fellaini might be a bluff cos arsenal know utd want him and it might be used to lure rooney to arsenal??? In Some way…. Wanyama could be a better cheaper option for DM and with mignolet between the sticks that would be a great improvement to the club along with all the other youngsters supposedly joining.

Although we wont get him given the way we do business, the player I would like at Arsenal most of all is Gundogan. Reminds me so much of Paul Scoles in his prime.
